“Thank you for all your hard work to ensure we had a sensational holiday experience” – Karen and Roger

I have been booking Karen and Roger’s holidays for many years. They were scheduled to make a much-anticipated trip to Vietnam in April 2020, but the pandemic caused further delays over the next two years.

After waiting an additional year, they finally made it - fourth time lucky…

Phew! What a sensational holiday experience.

On our fourth attempt, we finally made it to Vietnam in April 2024, and it lived up to everything we had hoped for. The wait was absolutely worthwhile.

Train in Hanoi

Jenny crafted a fantastic itinerary, allowing us to visit four different places in two weeks and organising everything superbly.

The local companies she arranged to collect us at each location were brilliant. They were always on time and in constant communication by text, ensuring everything ran seamlessly.

Our first stay was at The Anatole Hotel in Hanoi, beautifully designed with a touch of French decor infused with Asian artwork. It featured a wonderful rooftop pool and bar, and served a magnificent breakfast.

The Jeep trip we took around the city included a delicious street food tour. It was very well organised and incredibly educational, allowing us to visit and learn about many local sites.

Next, we travelled to Ha Long Bay for a fabulous two-night cruise with V’Spirit Cruises, staying in a large room with a huge, comfortable bed and a balcony.

We loved everything about the boat and the journey, including a spot of squid fishing at night and even the ladies coming up alongside in smaller boats to sell us things.

A cycling trip to a fishing village gave us the opportunity to experience how the local people live, and I even tasted some very unusual cobra rice wine.

We then flew south to the lovely Hoi An, where we stayed in a beautiful, peaceful and authentic hotel - the Koi Resort and Spa.

Located on an isolated oasis beside the De Vong River, our room was superb and offered a spectacular view from our little balcony.

Although we spent much of our time relaxing by the beach and pool, we had great fun venturing to the magical night market.

We enjoyed eating street food and taking a little Venetian-style boat along the river, lit up by lots of different lanterns.

The final stop was Saigon, also known as Ho Chi Minh City, and a great way to end the trip, revisiting some of the iconic places Roger had seen on a previous trip.

We stayed at another superb hotel - La Siesta Premium - which also had a wonderful rooftop bar and pool. However, the decor here was modern, so it could have been anywhere.

The food and drinks throughout our trip were excellent and reasonably priced, making it especially enjoyable to eat out wherever possible.

Ten out of ten for Jenny. She really understood our requirements and selected exemplary accommodations.

This was one of our favourite holidays yet, and with the additional good weather, we couldn’t have asked for more.

Jenny, thank you for all your hard work to ensure we had a sensational holiday experience. You have gotten to know our tastes well, and we would highly recommend you to anyone.
